Hard water is the bane of food and beverage manufacturers. Scale deposits cause equipment to break at unpredictable times, resulting in downtime and the need to cobble together components from different makers.
Water scarcity and access to clean water are two of the most important topics facing the world today. As part of our commitment to sustainable water, HANS Premium Water provides businesses with access to premium treated water while minimizing water use and water waste thus helping their efforts to conserve water and meet sustainability goals. HANS Premium Water products leverage advanced designs and built-in intelligence to provide the clean water needed for manufacturing procedures more efficiently.
Michigan will be the first state in the nation to require filtered drinking water at all schools and daycare centers under new laws signed Thursday by Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Facilities will have until the end of the 2025-26 school year to install at least one bottle-filling station or faucet filter for every 100 children under the laws, which aim to prevent lead exposure that, at high levels, can cause brain damage and developmental delays.
Lead is commonly found in school and childcare center drinking water across the country, including in Michigan because most plumbing materials contain lead that leaches into drinking water, even with new faucets and fixtures marked “lead free.”
